Site Partner Resources
For Site Partners
* Recruitment — Please feel free to recruit your own members! I am happy to consider most referrals from Site Partners.
* Site Placements — once I have accepted a member into the Corps, and once (s)he has accepted the position, I then ask for their top three site choices. I then make copies of that person's application, which I then send to the appropriate site supervisors. I then let the member know where their materials have been sent, and give them your contact information. Once you hear from a new member, please make every effort to schedule an interview as quickly as possible. The format of the interview is entirely up to you, but please make sure that all of your questions follow standard guidelines for appropriateness and legality. Decisions about member placements must be made based on the stated required qualifications in the position description. Once the interview has taken place, please contact me to let me know your thoughts. If both the site and the member are satisfied with the match, we move forward. If not, we start over.
* Orientation — There will be a Site Partner Orientation and Kickoff during the first week of September. The members will arrive in your offices by 1pm on Thursday, September 17th. Please make sure that there is a functioning workstation (with a working computer, valid email account, phone extension, etc) for them when they arrive.
Site Partner Resources
Important Dates — Includes paperwork deadlines. (This is the same sheet that was handed out during Orientation.)
Monthly Supervisor Report -- Download to your computer, complete electronically, and email to the PD by the first Friday of every month. Alternative: email weekly supervision notes to the member, and cc the Program Director. Weekly notes should include: review progress on previous goals, set goals/tasks/priorities for upcoming week, identified challenges/resources needed for upcoming week, general performance notes.
YouthServe Program Evaluation — This is now an online survey on SurveyMonkey. You will receive the link later in the program year.
Member Evaluation — Download, complete electronically, review with member, and email to the PD twice per year (due in February and June).
In-Kind Donation Form — Download, complete electronically, and email to Kate at kallen@dialself.org on January 4, 2011 and May 15, 2011.
Site Partner Contact Information — Names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and fax numbers of everyone who is supervising a member.
Site Partner Guidelines — This large document contains just about everything you need to know when supervising a member, and is intended to be a reference. If anything is unclear, please call the PD. If you want a paper copy, please ask the PD instead of printing one out. She'll happily give you a double-sided copy, which will save paper.
