The Howes Volunteer Center in Hampshire County has recently merged with our CSC to form a new program called Action through Community Teamwork (ACT).

DIAL/SELF'S Community Service Center (CSC) promotes volunteerism in Franklin County and the North Quabbin region by connecting volunteers with meaningful service opportunities. This service is free and open to any interested individuals, groups, organizations, or agencies. Our goal is to help make volunteering in our community an accessible and rewarding experience, so that critical community needs can be met.

What the CSC provides:

        Individual matching of adult and youth volunteers with local service opportunities

        A centralized database of local volunteer opportunities and volunteers

        Service projects for youth

How it works:

        Volunteers: Individuals or groups can Carly (see below) to discuss your interests and availability. She will work to find a suitable volunteer placement for you.

        Organizations in need of volunteers: Submit the needs assessment form to Carly. Or just give her a call and she will work to create a volunteer position description, and will refer interested volunteers to you.
