Facilities and Locations
Because of its growth in programs, budget and staff, DIAL/SELF needed to expand its facilities. The primary program site is at 21 Abbott St in Greenfield. In addition, the agency occupies/owns the following properties:
196 Federal St. in Greenfield is the former primary site for the agency. It was completely renovated in 2009 by Teen Housing, in which 10 efficiency apartments were created in the building to provide supportive housing to graduates of the Step Program and youth served by TeenLine and ACT. Funding for the project came from the MA Department of Housing and Community Development, Greenfield Cooperative Bank, and the Federal Home Loan Bank.
25 11th St. in Turners Falls was purchased by DIAL/SELF in 2006 for the Step Program. The project received $1.1 million from the MA Department of Housing and Community Development in 2007 and has been fully renovated to include four 2-bedroom apartments, a staff apartment, staff offices, and program space for the residents.
15-17 East Main St. in Orange is currently awaiting extensive renovation which will result in 9 new studio apartments for homeless teens with support services and community space on the first floor. Services in the North Quabbin are currently being provided through TeenLine at an outreach site in Orange.
16 Miles St. in Greenfield is the newest DIAL/SELF site with the TeenLine program offering a wide variety of services there, including outreach, drop-in services, a food pantry, case management, and access to emergency housing and other needed services.
